make a backup for saved data when the PS4 can't start

After a power outage I tried to start up my PS4 and it sayed: "Cannot start the PS4. Connect the DUALSHOK 4 using the USB cable, and then press the PS button" I found some stuff about it on the internet but evry thing I found says to Initialize the PS4 (including the official playstation support). Is there any way I can backup my saved data? I got hundreds of hours of play time with no backup.

  • I don't care about my game saves or I would have PS Plus or use a flash drive to back them up. If you can't turn on your console, I don't see how you can even reach your saves. I think your issue needs to be figuring out how to turn it on. If no one here has an idea, I suggest you contact Sony customer service.

You will only be able to back it up if you can get it to start. Backups are something that needs to be done before a problem like this occurs.
