Subscription on auto renew, but reverted back to Free

My PlayStation Music subscription with Spotify shows that it is a premium account with the next auto renew scheduled for January 30th. However, on December 31st at approximately 6:30pm Mountain time, it reverted to a free account. Anyone else having this issue or now how to fix it?

  • This has also just happened to my account, I'm very annoyed to be denied access to the service I've paid for and seeing there is no reason or response from PlayStation so far.

    I am having the same issues, as well. I tried to call Playstation, but told me they couldn't take my call.

    Same here, renewal went through on Jan 13, reverted to free on the 22nd   Sony, please read this forum and assist these accounts.

    Today or yesterday my spotify subscription also reverted back to "free" status despite being paid in full and on auto-renew. Playstation support is not answering

    Same here.  Happened to me today (23rd).  Renewal happened on tuesday (21).

    Can't figure out a way to get back to premium even though I paid for the month.  Really frustrating.

    I can't find a way to get in contact with support of either company.  I am giving it a couple of days and then I am just going to cancel and go to a different service.  I have been using this service from back when it was music unlimited.  But the fact there is no support, no one looking at these forums at all, makes me second guess playstation as a whole.  I have had hit or miss support from playstation over the years, but it seems to be getting worse and they really try to stop you from ever getting to a real human.  On the contrary, I have had good success with support from both major competitors.

  • Same issue.  I've chatted with Support twice and basically been told they are investigating and that they will not send an update when it is resolved.  So its on us to check if its fixed.   Here is where I have chatted: https://support.playstation.com/s/contact-support?language=en_US

    Pretty dismal support.   Spotify support doesn't see the subscriptions since its from Sony.

    Thr same happend yo me. I have been using spotify for years but this is annoying. I think its a Playstation or Sony problem without support on their 3rd party. I will cancel the subscription.

  • This is happening to me as well.  Auto renew is still on as well.  Seems weird that Sony isn't posting a status message.  At least put something on the PSN status that Playstation music is having issues or has limited access or something of that nature.

    All I got from Spotify support is that they were "investigating this issue"

  • I just tried turning off the auto renew then tried turning it back on to see if it would fix it.  Now it's NOT letting me turn on auto-renew.

     

    Is Sony quietly DISCONTINUING their partnership through Spotify or something?

  • Same for me. Apparently we all paid for the free version this month. What a joke...
