[Resolved] "You are already streaming a game" error

We are aware of an issue where sometimes a user would be unable to stream a game due to the error message which states that you are already streaming a game.

 

If you have experienced this issue, please post the following information below. This would help us greatly in our investigation.

    We made some changes to our server to reduce the error which may have caused some users to experience the "You are already streaming a game" error.

     

    If you experienced this issue, please try streaming again to see if this issue has resolved for you. If not, please continue to report on this thread.

    Issue started during start up. Asked me if I wanted to close the stream that was currently playing. But would not proceed.

    • Issue Description: when I select to close that session and launch this game my ps4 gets stuck at "closing your last game session" and nothing happens after that.
    • Steps taken before the problem occurred: tried rebooting ps4 several times. tried to reboot my router. signed out of PSN and signed back in. Changed password for PSN. Also rebuilt the database.

    We had to restart the server you were connected to.

  • Hi my name is Jose Mendez I need  help i haven't been able to play my ps now rentals for 3 day   psnid:Starfire0001 internet:cable 20 mb download 5mb upload

    connection :wireless          internet  service provider:liberty communication   router:motorola-83865   date and time:Monday August 25 2014 around 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm state: Puerto Rico city:San Juan game trying to play : Rise of the Guardians    game played before error:Rise of the Guardians   issue: start-up  issue description:stuck on infinite closing last game session steps before  error:was playing fine until the auto-save in the game glitch never ended saving even after 10 minutes of saving and then it froze and now ps now doesn't let me start any game.   • im having that problem .i rented a 7 day pass for way of the samurai 3.i contacted support chat live and they were not able to help me. but did say they would issue a refund within 3-5 days.im this just happened yesterday.im still not able to use ps now or play the games i paid for through ps now.im very upset bout this and am searching for help. please someone help me. my id name is ghostkila28,from baycity michigan.

Game Title You Played Right Before the Error: Assassin's Creed IV (disc version.) Issue During Start-up or Gameplay: Start up. Issue Description: when starting up the game, it says authorizing, then goes to a screen that says "you are already streaming a game. Do you want to close that session and launch this game?" Then it goes to "closing the other session and then it just remains at that screen and goes no further. Game played before attempting to start up ME2 was on disc so it hasnt been streaming any games. Steps taken before the problem occurred: rebooted ps4 numerous times. Rebooted it in safe mode. Rebuilt the database. Was anyone else in the household using the internet service at the time when the problem occurred?: no.
