PSNow on PC stuck on loading

Ever since I updated a couple days ago, PSNow is stuck on loading.
PC Specs:

CPU: Intel 3770k
GPU: XFX Radeon 390

RAM: 16GB

OS: Windows 10 64bit

What do you mean by "loading" specifically?

Like, loading up the app? Loading up a game?

Does it close itself down to the system tray after it gets stuck? Or do you just see the Playstation Now screen indefinitely?

  • Loading up the app. You see the Playstation Now logo and the loading circle underneath that and it just keeps circling.

  • It still is stuck for the past 3 days. I load up the app and it stays on the loading screen with the loading circle. This is before you can access any games. It doesn't close itself, I have to close it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

Edit: I tried on a different PC on the same network and it works, however it still doesn't work on my PC.

The only similar thing I have seen with this is that sometimes (but not often) if it can't connect to the server or network at all, it will show the loading screen indefinitely instead of the network error (code 1234).

If you are on wifi, can you connect direct with an ethernet? Or if you are directly connected to a router, can you temporarily try bypassing it to directly connect to the modem?

There are other possible issues with network connection that can be tied to both firewalls and antivirus software. So disabling those temporarily might also help with diagnosing the issue. Though not all at once of course.

I would also wonder if anything changed with your network setup (be it ISP, router software update, etc) after your last successful stream on the 5th.

  • I tried my account on a different PC on the same network and that worked. It could be something that is specifically tied to this PC.

  • My pc is connected to the router with a wired connection so I I tried a direct connection to the internet via the modem and still got nothing. I also tried disabling anti-virus and the firewall and still got tnothing.

Did you also try completely uninstalling and installing it fresh?

You can download the latest (which includes the most recent update) here: https://download-psnow.playstation.com/downloads/psnow/pc/latest

In case the installation didn't wipe the files, can you try removing them yourself?

Just delete these folders while the app is closed, then re-launch.

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\playstation-now

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Gaikai

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Gaikai

I think those should be all of the folders created by the application.

  • Ok I tried that and it still acting the same.

Edit: It appears someone on the Playstation Now reddit page is having the same issue as me https://www.reddit.com/r/PlayStationNow/comments/6gqb4x/ps_now_on_pc_stuck_loading/

I am currently waiting for a reply from some others to see if there are other troubleshooting attempts around this problem.
