Your game did not start as expected...

I've been trying out PS now free trial and I got through most of the trial without a problem. But then 2 days ago it kicks me off and keeps giving me this message that "your game did not start as expected try launching it again" and I've done that and nothing!...only now I'm at the last day of my free trial and I still can't play! I was going to actually sign up for PS now but now I'm not so sure. My Internet is above the requirement and even when others were on the internet in the first days of the trial it worked great!

  • Every time I try to connect to Final Fantasy through Playstation Now, I get the same message: "Your game did not start as expected. Try launching it again."

    The game was running fine earlier today, and every other game I have from PSN is still working. I checked my download speed and I'm at an average of 8.8 Mbps, so that shouldn't be the problem. What can I do to salvage the game without losing my data?

    I'm having the same problem. Started on Monday. I've tried all the troubleshoots and testing around 32 Mbps. well within spec. I was talking to 3 agents for the past 2 days. They had me enter safe mode, restore default settings, and rebuild database. That did not seem to work so they said last night Sony was running maintenance and to try again in 2 hours. I tried it today and still nothing. They're final solution was to keep an eye on this post for any updates.

    Since i'm a paid subscriber, I asked if I would be compensated for the lost time, and it didn't sound promising. I hope they credit me back the days that its down, because I just want what I paid for, nothing more, nothing less. I canceled the auto renew just in case they don't.

  • Sorry I'm having the same exact issues no problems until this afternoon now any game i try to load gives me the same error message. Missing out on my free trial and just wanna play please help :(

  • The issue was resolved. Ghost, my recommendation is to back up all of your save data to an external thumb drive, then initialize your PS4, and then reload the data. It's labor intensive, but it works. My problem was with corrupted internal data, so yours likely is as well. Initializing will clear out and start fresh, but your PSNow save data is in the cloud, so none of that will be affected during the process.

    After investigation, your problem turned out to be something different than we expected. So the engineer was able to address it right away. Can you try streaming again?

    The games are loading now, but every 10 to 20 min or so, it closes the game. I gave it a few days to see if it would pass, but never did. My Internet is strong and steady, and have tested, reset, and reconnected several times to try to fix it. The message it gives me is "The PS Now game was closed. The connection to the server was lost". It wasn't doing this before the your game did not start problem.

  • I called support and they told me to restore default settings and ask my internet provider to enable some ports. But nothing has helped!
