Why won't the movie I purchased play?

I purchased spectre, watched half the other night no problem, now it won't play on three different devices.  Said licensing issue, then connection problems?? I watched the other movies I own, no problem, I want to finish my movie!  Any help?

  • I had the same issue! I watched halfway one night, and was too tired to finish it and wanted to watch the later half the following night but at the video playback screen it says "Spectre' and then loads indefinitely and never actually starts playing. I also PURCHASED this movie in HD and did not rent, but it still won't let me play on computer, PS3, or PS4. 

     

    I have never had these issues when purchasing movies on Amazon...I'm starting to doubt the abilities of the Sony video streaming capabilities. Starting to be wary of my pre-order purchase of "Star Wars : The Force Awakens"... 

     

    How do we fix this Sony?

  • BTW man - I just spoke with the customer service rep, and he told me that there was nothing he could do to fix the problem and just refunded me for the movie. I recommend doing that and just buying it on Amazon my friend. 

     

    The refund will take 2 to 3 business days though...

  • Hey i am having an issue with the Playstation Video, i recently purchased the complete first season of Ash Vs Evil Dead and watched the first episode, tried watching the second and it wont play. It keeps saying i have a network error and my intenet is completely fine. I would like to enjoy the show but am unable due to this please help me with this as soon as possible

  • I bought Daniel Tosh People Pleaser the other day and every time I try to watch it, it says network unavailable, but all my other movies and shows work just that ones giving me a problem.

    I seem to be having the same issue. I tried watching twelve different movies and tv shows, but everytime I click play on them, this error message shows up: Network Unavailable. Please check your network connection.

    I know that I am connected to the network, since I can still game online, look at trailers in the PSN store, browser the internet, etc. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this issue? :smileysad:

     

    Additionally, I tried to play the movies on my Sony 4K TV and they worked fine. For some reason the PS4 won't allow me to play them. I ensured the licenses were updated as well.

  • I have purchased the Harry Potter series on PS Video. It works fine on my PS4, but when attempting to watch a video on my Android PS Video app, it closes the video and back out to the menu. Any help?

  • I just purchased Captain America Civil War from the PlayStation Store and after half of the movie, it tells me that I need to check my internet connection. I try re watching, but only a minute plays before the notification pops up again. I can play Deadpool, also bought from the PlayStation Store, and the movie will run smoothly til the end. What do I do?

  • I'm also experiencing the same issue with John wick. I rented the first movie for £3.50 attempted to watch and was met with network issue message. I tried to purchase the bundle for a further £15 hoping they might download and watch from the HD (my first time using this service didn't realise it was just streaming) but sadly facing the same issue. So far I'm down £3.50 for a movie I couldn't get to watch as it's no expired which is no big deal but it would be nice if I could watch my purchases.

  • Because Sony hates it's customers.  They treat you like a chump, and then you have to jump through hours if hoop to make it right and if it hope med during a weekend, plan on days.  They deliberately me it difficult to get help so you will just give up and let them chump you out of your money.

     

    Try XBOX1, and maybe all.of us who have been screwed by PS4 can get together and do a gofund me campaign to get off of PS4.  I'll chip in.  I hate being lied to, chump ed ND treated dishonestly.  I truly despise liars from the bottom of the blackest part of my heart. I can forgive a lie done out of fear or shame, but a lie to run a scam on good people is the scumiest thing that can be done, and then to lie saying a refund us impossible us another slap in the face.  Sony cuts checks very day for all sorts of things, but we are led to believe that it's just not possible for Sony to repent for their lies and pay us the ripped off back. Impossible like flying to Andromeda galaxy in a Radio Flyer wagon!  No, they CHOOSE to keep the money they ripped off from me and lied.

    Spider-Man Homecoming is Pre-odrer content. You are purchasing the content "prior to" it's release.

     

    This content is currently still in theaters and is not yet available for distribution.

    Also, it is best if you create a new thread vice attaching to a very old thread.

    I currently can not watch any of the movies I have purchased at this time, could someone help me out on this. The content cant be played at this time or network unavailable messages, has been like this for a while. Have also tried to rest the license but with no luck.
