Problems with Playstation Vue on Fire TV

About 1 week ago, I realized that I couldn't watch any channel on the Vue without it being the last one that I watched and the DVR choice didn't and doesn't work as well. If I last watched the BBC channel, it would be there, but changing to another channel would and will not work. If I go to settings and wipe out my data and sign in anew - all is well for that one session, but to have to do this over and over again is not what I signed up for. I called support and a representative told me to login fresh if I want to watch and that they might, I repeat MIGHT have a fix in a week or so - this is outrageous. I use playstation vue on a fire tv so I contacted Amazon about the problem - they logged into my TV and found the same problem, but decided that this was not their issue, but Sonys.

Today, it is still not working, but I did discover that if you go to the live menu at the top of the TV and select any playstation vue channel that is currently playing, it works just fine. However, you cannot change that channel and the DVR is still unavailable. This is so sad because I loved this app and all the channel choices - but they need to fix this now or I will go elsewhere next billing cycle.

  • I am having this same issue.  I have been using Vue for all live TV and have been very pleased, but this is very disappointing.  It basically renders the service I am paying for useless.

  • I’m having the same issue. I called customer service a couple days ago they had me do the same thing that I have to do every single time to even watch anything. Clear out the data and cache and restart it. You also have to sign in every time. And sometimes it won’t even last. And you have to do the whole thing over again. Been dealing with this for a couple weeks now and definitely getting tired of it. Ready to go somewhere else.

  • Same issue for me too!  I literally just subscribed and will easily cancel as this is a load of crap.  It’s working just fine on my other tv using a ROKU device.  Amazon told me that it’s sony too.

    I am having the same issue.  I have two TVs with FireTV in my home and all apps work just fine except for PSVUE.  It behaves just like this.  Is Sony doing anything about this?  I’m paying almost $70 a month for this service I can’t use or can’t get any help with...

  • DVR playback freezing and freezing the whole channel for quite a while before I can get back in.  Noting DVR programs as "watched" when I never watched them.  Rewind and FF does not work correctly. Increase in fees and taking away channels, So no, not a great deal anymore.  I think they may have been purchased by Comcast.  LOL

  • something is clearly wrong with your latest version of the PS Vue app (V 6.3.0 ) , I’ve uninstalled it and downloaded the previous version (6.2.4) APK and it worked fine > older verions of the PS Vue app can be found online

  • Same here. I have to uninstall it and reinstall it every time just to use it without the watched last screen
