Vue not working on Chromecast

I'm trying to stream Vue from my iPhone to Chromecast and it quit working. It had been working flawless. It worked all day and now this evening I keep getting "Please select another program to continue Vueing." It does this on two separate Chromecast and on every single channel. It works fine on my iPhone, my Fire Stick, and my PS4. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my iPhone. I'm not sure why both Chromecast suddenly can't stream? I have also tried streaming with an Android tablet to Chromecast and same thing.

    I am not longer able to stream TV shows to my chromecast. It started yesterday when my plan was switched from trial to Access Slim. Question: With Access Slim should I still be able to stream to Chromecast? If so, what what would be the recommended solution to have this problem solved?

  • Currently it's broken. Haven't seen any acknowledement from Sony about the problem though.  You need to go to settings, apps, chromecast and uninstall updates when you want to use chromecast. I have to do this everytime I use it. 

    This is how I do it with NVidia Shield. I assume it will be the same in your situation. Not sure though.

    I'm having the same problem. One day it's working and the next day it's not.

    Chromecast still works for Youtube and HBO Go apps but not PS Vue.

    I can watch shows on the Vue mobile app but it will fail after trying to cast.

    I am still on trial account.

  • So I downloaded the app for vue works great on the our ipad but every time i try to set it on chromecast it says thanks for watching and to choose another program without ever casting any help please and i did update chromecast

    I know us Shield TV owners had to go and unistall updates relating to casting to fix casting issues.

  • I'm seeing this problem, too. Vue works great during the day, but fails with the same message in the evening. I think Sony has some work to do to improve Chromecast support.

    Now I go to my PS4 and it says I'm logged in 5 devices (which I'm not) and have to wait 3 hours. Now I can't use it at all. This just doesn't seem worth it.

  • I've got the same thing. One chromecast and tried streaming from 2 different tablets get the "select another program" banner. I has been doing this for 2 days....

    Can't cast anything to chrome cast. Everything works on iPhone. Just started paying today. This sucks.

    I can't watch anything because it says I'm logged into 5 devices and that's not true. I don't even own 5 devices. How can I find out what I'm logged into?

  • Like everyone else, I'm experiencing the same problem. Vue is NOT working on Chromecast this evening. It worked fine this morning. Everytime I choose a program to watch the TV screen says - ready to case. I then cast a program and the program screenshot will show up on my TV screen for a second and I then get the error message - "Thanks for watching! Please select another program to continue Vueing."

     

    what is going on? I can watch programs off the Vue app on my Iphone but not on my screen.

  • Exact same problem here and in addition this happened at my brothers house as well. Just got home and tried it on my Chromecast and it's broken. Hoping there is a fix very soon.

    I'm not even a week into the paid subscription and it's useless. I'm still baffled why my ps4 and Fire Stick say I'm logged into 5 devices? Not only is it broke on Chromecast, but I have mysterious devices connected to it now. I think the best solution is cancelling and going to Sling. I really liked Vue a lot better but it doesn't do any good when it doesn't work.

  • 1 was working great until last evening. Now It will work on my phone, and fire stick, however it will not cast to a Google Chromecast.

  • Me too. It will connect to Chromecast, when I try to Chromecast ESPN, it puts up a blue screen that says "Thanks for Watching. Please select another program to watch." If I disconnect, it plays fine on my iPad...this is ridiculous.
    I GOT this for GameDay and college football....geeeeesh, borderline fail.

    Same problem here. I just signed up too :( 

     

    I had it working once early yesterday, but couldn't get it to work at all yesterday evening or this morning. Very disappointing. I tried restarting the Chromecast (1st gen) and closing and restarting the app with no luck.

     

    Glad to see I'm not alone... was there an app update recently?

    Same here, third day into my trial and appears way worse than cable. Customer service doesn't seem to care either.
